Description
Expand your Java and GWT Development skills while contributing to both the design and development of a robust financial application while working in an Agile environment. You will be actively involved in the development of a high profile application regarding financial investment information and the identification of insider trading within the Stock Market. You will be part of a six person team and given the opportunity to partake in both the new development and high-level design of this application. The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to Java, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle Database and GWT (Google Web Toolkit).
ettain group has an immediate opening for a Java / GWT Developer. This is a 6-9 month contract-to-hire opportunity with an established financial firm in Rockville, MD.
Responsibilities: · Participate in developing financial applications. · Analyze existing modules and come up with the changes that are more aligned with business needs. · Develop/ rewrite user interface based on GWT and modern technologies. · Review high level technical designs, participate in detailed technical designs, software implementation, unit & integration testing, facilitate code delivery to production as well as analyze and resolve trouble tickets & operational issues. · Work with business analysts to define system requirements based on business needs. · Research, design and implement best solution available for assigned tasks. · Perform unit testing and code documentation. · Report status to Technical Project Manager on a regular basis.
Requirements: · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. · 3+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring and Hibernate. · 1+ years of experience and knowledge of GWT (Google Web Toolkit). · Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience working with Oracle Database. · Work experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
