Peter Taylor

I manage operations, resources, paperwork and bookkeeping so others don't have to.

Working in partnership with Mike Taylor, owner of Avenue Video, to upgrade and optimize operations at his 3 locations in the Montreal West area.

I implemented and managed web campaigns to raise the search engine profile of small businesses across Canada. This involved a wide array of skills both analytical and creative including HTML, keyword analysis, Photoshop, Excel, copy writing, editing, and customer service.

I came on board to help a friend as he expanded his computer services company. I restructured the client database and co-ordinated the office. I helped on the hiring of further staff and worked on the front lines of providing customer support.

Eventually I bought into the company as a partner. I helped design a strategy to restructure the company away from home user support to a greater focus on small and medium sized businesses. I left my position as a partner/director in 2006 to focus on raising my two daughters.

I worked on front line support for a large hospital management software product. I solved end user problems and fixed software issues. I programmed in Mumps and SQL, and the software solution ran on VAX and Unix servers.

Provided assistance to the Quantity Surveyors in the preparation of technical publications. Co-ordinated IT in the office, including the initial roll-out of LAN/WAN capability in 1995.
